                                               SMELLY GOAT ACRES LLC

  

                                                        Who We Are:

Smelly Goat Acres, LLC was conceived as an entity in 2008 when the owners, Brandi and Darin Clements, got their first two goats as pets when living in Centralia, MO. Upon moving to Williamsburg, MO in 2009, we started researching ways to utilize our land to become more self-sufficient while being good stewards of Nature. Through the years, we’ve learned a lot about what does and does not work and how to best utilize the resources available to create items our customers will want.

 

                                 Our farm currently consists of:

  •  a 2500 square foot market garden where we grow both heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, many varieties of pickling cucumbers, squash, zucchini, and a plethora of peppers.  We also utilize the Amish produce auctions in Clark, MO and Fortuna, MO to bring bulk savings to our customers, as well as partnering with a few vineyard and orchard owners to bring fresh Missouri norton grapes and apples that we use for jellies, jams, and fruit syrups, 

  •  A small herd of mini-Nubian goats that provide us with fresh milk and endless entertainment,

  •  A flock of hens that provide plenty of free-range eggs,

 We are the only farm in Missouri offering an old and closely guarded process for making Hickory Syrup, using the many Shagbark Hickory trees on our property. The process to make hickory syrup takes four days from start to finish, and the results are well worth the effort. Additionally, we have hundreds of blackberry and raspberry plants that we use to make jams, jellies and delicious syrups. We strictly adhere to the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services regulations regarding cottage food laws requirements on labeling and food handling and have the necessary licenses to legally sell our products to the public.

                                           

                                                What We Do:

Besides Darin’s passion for gardening and living a farm to table life, he is also a recovering carpenter with over 20 years’ experience. Although no longer remodeling bathrooms and kitchens, or building decks, he continues his woodworking addiction by crafting unique and functional items to use on the farm and at home. Brandi is the brains behind the operation and the chief maker of fruit butters, jellies, jams and fresh baked items.

 

 In addition to the items we make and offer from the farm, we have also partnered with a nationally recognized producer to offer you our very own Smelly Goat Acres branded hot sauce, barbecue sauce, specialty food items and more!
